Overall, great purchase and would buy again. You’ll have to push it in with a bit of force, then you’ll hear a click sound and it should work. So a PSA to all of you, make sure you click the cord that goes into the headset all the way in, otherwise you won’t hear sound. It is wired, and I had the hardest time figuring out what was wrong with it at first because I wasn’t hearing the sound, and I went on Reddit and found the answer.
It is very comfortable to wear for long periods of time, but my only warning is to people with bigger heads because the adjustment doesn’t have a great range.
I’m able to hear footsteps and movement really well in game, and I can still hear my friends well without the game and voice sounds colliding and overlapping each other. It also has good surround sound and good sound quality. It won’t pick up on fans or people that are near you or any of those type of noises. You can even eat on mic if you put it farther away from your face and your mic won’t pick it up, which is great because I’m a snacker and I hate flipping my mic up and down while I’m snacking because people keep talking to me lol. The mic isn’t pitchy or sensitive at all and isn’t easily damageable. The mic has good sound quality and cancels out background noise extremely well. I used to have a20’s and they lasted for two years so I wanted another Astro headset. I wanted a good Astro headset but I couldn’t afford the newer models, so I took a chance on these and I didn’t regret it.
